Marek Stachowski's Birds for soprano and 4 instruments to texts by Polish poets performed by Olga Szwajgier (soprano), Stanisław Przystaś (clarinet), Janusz Miryński (violin), Zdzisław Polonek (viola) and Kazimierz Koślacz (cello).

The work was performed on 20 September 1978 in the Concert Hall of the State Higher School of Music in Warsaw as part of the 22nd Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
