Description

The performance of Béla Bartók's String Quartet No. 3 at the 7th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.

The piece was performed by the Kyndelkvartetten (Otto Kyndel - 1st violin, Gert Crafoord - 2nd violin, Kurt Lewin - viola, Folke Bramme - cello) on 22 September 1963 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall.

It is composed of four movements:

  1. Prima parte. Moderato;
  2. Seconda Parte. Allegro;
  3. Ricapitulazione della prima parte. Moderato;
  4. Coda. Allegro molto.
