Erik Bergman's Birds in the Morning, Op. 89 performed by Mikael Helasvuo (flute) and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra from Helsinki conducted by Leif Segerstam.

The world premiere of the work took place on 18 September 1979 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall as part of the 23rd Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
