Hans Werner Henze's recital for four musicians El Cimarrón performed by musicians of the Wurttembergische Staatstheater Stuttgart: Klaus Hirte (baritone), Robert Dohn (flute), Baldur Pollich (guitar), Dai Bowen (percussion).
The work was performed on 22 September 1979 in the Concert Hall of the State Higher School of Music in Warsaw as part of the 23rd Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
It consists of fifteen parts:
