Description

The world premiere of Sławomir Wojciechowski's Handmade for violin, cello, clarinet, bass clarinet, electric guitar, two percussions, piano and video at the 62nd Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.


The piece was performed by the Plus-Minus Ensemble conducted by Mark Knoop on 22 September 2019 at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio in Warsaw. Sound directors: Michał Bereza, Jakub Niedźwiedź.


Ensemble members: Aisha Orazbayeva - violin, Alice Purton - cello, Vicky Wright - clarinet, bass clarinet, Roderick Chadwick - piano, Primož Sukič - guitar, electric guitar, Emma Arden - percussion, Angela Wai Nok Hui - percusion, Mark Knoop - conductor, piano, Matthew Shlomowitz and Joanna Bailie - artistic directors.


The composition was commissioned by Warsaw Autumn and the Society of Authors ZAiKS.

Description The 'Sound Chronicle of the Warsaw Autumn' 2019 consists of three audio CDs and presents recordings of opening and closing concerts as well as Youth Section of the Polish Composers’ Union concert. The project was subsidized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the National Institute of Music and Dance programme ‘Muzyczny ślad‘ (Musical Trace). The album was released thanks to the support of the Society of Authors ZAiKS. The project partner was Repliq Media Sp. z o.o.
