Nikolai Petrov after the performance of Rodion Shchedrin's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the State Orchestra of the USSR under the direction Yevgeny Svetlanov.

The Polish premiere of the work took place on 28th September 1968 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall as part of the 12th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
