Hans-Joachim Hespos with flowers after the performance of his piece koss for brass quintet by an ensemble composed of: Jerzy Gonczorowski, Marian Piwowarszyk, Grzegorz Leczkowski (trumpets), Jan Jeżewski, Stanisław Selmej (horns), Roman Siwek, Kazimierz Pałkowski (trombones), Włodzimierz Kukuź (tuba), conducted by the composer.
The Polish premiere of the piece took place on 19 September 1981 at the Concert Hall of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music as part of the 25th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
