Per Nørgård at the stage of the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall after the performance of his Symphony No. 2 by the Great Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio and Television in Katowice under the direction of Eleazar de Carvalho.

The Polish premiere of the work took place on 24 September 1973 as part of the 17th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
