Description

Morton Subotnick conducts his piece Parallel Lines for piccolo flute, ghost electronics and 9 performers. The composition was performed by an ensemble composed of: Jadwiga Kotnowska (piccolo flute), Stanisław Malikowski (oboe), Hanna Włodaczewska (clarinet), Jerzy Gonczorowski (trumpet), Roman Siwek (trombone), Urszula Mazurek (harp), Wiesław Pogorzelski (viola), Kazimierz Koślacz (cello), Bogdan Lauks (percussion).

The Polish premiere of the piece took place on 19 September 1981 at the Concert Hall of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music as part of the 25th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
