Wojciech Kilar's Diphthongos performed by the Symphony Orchestra and Choir of the Karol Szymanowski State Philharmonic in Krakow under the direction of Andrzej Markowski.

The Polish premiere of the piece took place on 23 September 1964 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall as part of the 8th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
