Grażyna Bacewicz on the stage of the Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Hall after the performance of her Quartet for four cellos by Aleksander Ciechański, Jerzy Węsławski, Roman Suchecki, and Marian Raczek.

The Polish premiere of the work took place on 24 September 1964 during the 8th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
