Audience gathered at St. John’s Archcathedral during the performance of Krzysztof Penderecki’s Te Deum for solo voices, mixed choir, and large symphony orchestra as part of the 25th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
The piece was performed on 21 September 1981 by Jadwiga Gadulanka (soprano), Ewa Podleś (alto), Wiesław Ochman (tenor), Andrzej Hiolski (baritone), and the Symphony Orchestra and Choir of Polish Radio and Television in Kraków, conducted by Antoni Wit. Choir director: Tadeusz Dobrzański.
