The world premiere of Jorge Peixinho’s Ciclo-Valsa for chamber ensemble, percussion, celesta, and music boxes during the 25th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
The piece was performed on 23 September 1981 at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music Concert Hall by the Contemporary Music Group of Lisbon, consisting of: Atonio Saiote (clarinet), Antonio Reis Gomes (trumpet), Carlos Voss (percussion), Jose Antonio Lopes e Silva (guitar), Antonio Oliveira e Silva (viola), Luisa Vasconcelos (cello), Jorge Peixinho (piano).
