Description

Composer Marek Kopelent congratulates Karol Stryja after the world premiere of his Legend "De Passione St. Adalberti Martyri" for mixed choir, narrator, and orchestra at the 25th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.

The piece, based on the old legend Versus de passione St. Adalberti Martyri and the writings of Bruno of Querfurt, was performed on 26 September 1981 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall by Andrzej Lipski (narrator) and the Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir in Katowice, conducted by Karol Stryja. Choir director: Jan Wojtachna.
