Elżbieta Penderecka congratulates Jan DeGaetani after the performance of Jacob Druckman's Lamia for soprano and orchestra during the 26th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music "Warsaw Autumn". Włodzimierz Kotoński is visible in the background.

The American singer performed the Polish premiere of the composition with the Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio and Television in Krakow conducted by Antoni Wit on 17 September 1983 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall.
