Description

Olivier Messiaen by the stage of the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall after the performance of excerpts from his opera Saint François d’Assise by the soloists, the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir, and the Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra in Katowice conducted by Antoni Wit.


The Polish premiere of the work took place on 24 September 1989 during the 32nd Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.

Performers: María Orán (soprano), Philippe Rouillon (baritone), Arley Reece (tenor), Philippe Duminy (baritone), Robert Dumé (tenor), Fernand Dumont (bass), Yvonne Loriod, Valérie Hartmann‑Claverie, Kim (ondes Martenot), Warsaw Philharmonic Choir, Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Antoni Wit (conductor).
