German composer Udo Zimmermann with his wife among the audience in the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall during the 26th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.

The Polish premiere of his Sinfonia come un grande lamento (in memory of Frederico Garcia Lorka) was performed by the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin conducted by Heinz Rogner on 20 September 1983.
