The composer Lyell Cresswell and conductor Jerzy Maksymiuk after the performance of Speak to us, great sea for orchestra during the 28th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.

The Polish premiere of the composition was performed on 27 September 1985 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jerzy Maksymiuk.
