Description

The performance of Stanisław Skrowaczewski's Symphony for String Orchestra at the 1st Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.

The piece was performed by the Orchestre National de la RTF conducted by Jean Martinon on 20th October 1956 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall.

It is composed of three movements:


  1. Adagio-Allegro;
  2. Adagio un poco mosso;
  3. Presto.
