Description

The world premiere of Krzysztof Penderecki's Strophes for soprano, reciting voice and 10 instruments at the 3rd Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.

The piece was performed by Zofia Stachurska (soprano), Franciszek Delekta (recitation), the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir and the Chamber Orchestra of the Silesian Philharmonic conducted by Andrzej Markowski on 17th September 1959 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall.
