Description

The world premiere of Lasar Nikolov's Sonata for flute and piano at the 6th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.

The piece were performed by the flautist Jerzy Chudyba and pianist Jadwiga Szamotulska on 16 September 1962 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Hall.

It is composed of three movements:


  1. Moderato assai;
  2. Scherzo (Allegro vivace);
  3. Andantino.
