Description

The performance of Béla Bartók's Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta at the 4th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.

The piece was performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Witold Rowicki on 18th September 1960 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall.

The work consists of four movements:

  1. Andante tranquillo;
  2. Allegro;
  3. Adagio;
  4. Allegro molto.
