The world premiere of Tadeusz Paciorkiewicz's Weight of the Earth - 5 songs for soprano and piano to words by Włodzimierz Słobodnik at the 5th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.


The work was performed by Lidia Skowron (soprano) and Kiejstut Bacewicz (piano) on 24 September 1961 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall.
