The world premiere of Bogusław Schaeffer's Codes for chamber orchestra at the 5th Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.


The work was performed by the Ensemble 'Die Reihe' under the direction of Friedrich Cerha on 19 September 1961 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall.
