Witold Lutosławski on the stage of the Warsaw Philharmonic after performing his Mi-Parti with the Great Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio and Television in Katowice.

The Polish premiere of the piece took place on 17 September 1977 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall during the opening concert of the 21st Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
