Henryk Szeryng after performing Karol Szymanowski's Violin Concerto No. 2, Op. 61 with the Great Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio and Television in Katowice conducted by Jerzy Maksymiuk.

The piece was performed at the opening concert of the 21st Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music, which was held on 17 September 1977 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall.
