American double bassist Bertram Turetzky with flowers on the stage of the Warsaw Philharmonic after performing Witold Szalonek's Musica concertante per violbasso e orchestra with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Wojciech Michniewski.


The world premiere of the work took place on 20 September 1977 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall as part of the 21st Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music.
